Day 86 - Something extra

Hey the dojo where I sometimes practice Jujitsu has a website up that has a video of my first place waza from last July's tournament. Check it out! It's pretty small and not a real professional recording, but still neat. You can tell it's me because...well, I'm the girl, though my hair was longer then. There aren't any other women who are black belts at this particular event. Just thought it was cool to have something showing me in action :)

Nothing else today except my pictures:

Joni, thanks for sharing! That was a great video. What a fantastic accomplishment. Can you be our bodyguard in NYC?

Wow! Joni that was fantastic. So impressive that you're a black belt and even more impressive to see you in action. I think that's the coolest thing ever.

Suzette, Adam, Christy - Thanks! Here's a little more background: I am actually a sandan which is a third degree black belt, and I've been training for about 14 years so I just LOVE IT. One of the reasons I began this fat loss journey was because of my ridiculous lack of stamina at the last tournament. I was able to fight for 15min solid when I got my shodan about 5-6 years ago, so I want to get back to that level of conditioning and 30 lbs of extra fat was not helping :) Plus, since the art is Japanese, it has made me very into the culture, and one of my biggest goals is getting to visit Japan one day. I don't know that you remember it, Adam, but that's why I first talked to you on BTFIC - because you were in Japan and I asked you a whole bunch of questions about visiting there. So I vote ECSS #2 is actually Japan Shredder Summit so I can have the excuse to go!
